We launched the Learn Fresh podcast in 2021 to create a space for conversation, sharing, and connecting with leaders and organizations driving positive change in education.
Since then, the podcast has evolved, leading to a diverse collection of episodes. This growth has allowed us to explore various themes, ultimately guiding us toward a clearer, more refined direction that still embraces the diversity of our guests and audience.
In the fall of 2024, we rebranded as Fresh Perspectives: Conversations with All-Star Innovators in Education, with a focus on highlighting individuals and organizations that are disrupting education and striving to improve academic performance, student engagement, and social-emotional learning through innovative approaches.
This rebrand reflects our expanded audience and expertise in the nonprofit sector, providing another platform to share our thought leadership.
Nick and Calvin have welcomed guests from various backgrounds, each offering their fresh perspective.
Former NBA TV personality and podcaster Leigh Ellis shares why he left the booth in pursuit of pickup basketball games around the world, exploring the sport’s power as a universal language and a bridge between cultures. From the nonprofit sector, Henry Donahue, Executive Director of Save The Music, emphasizes the power of connecting students' passions to education and the ways music can uplift communities. Season 4 wraps with Rico Francis, former Social Impact Director at the Pacers Foundation, as the three reflect on how educational initiatives shaped their personal and professional journeys. Together, they offer insights into building meaningful partnerships and driving lasting social impact.
Looking ahead to Season 5, Nick and Calvin continue to welcome guests from various industries. Upcoming episodes feature Emly Ong, the Director of Partner Development at Girls Who Code, and Veronne Clark, the Director of Community for the Golden State Valkyries. Each episode provides listeners with a valuable and impactful listen, as guests continue to bring a fresh perspective.
