In 2024, NBA Math Hoops experienced significant national growth, with 15 new schools, districts, and community organizations joining the program across the United States. With critical support from partners like GameChanger, we expanded our reach through the distribution of Math Hoops Live kits to high-need communities, helping to drive program adoption and ensure equitable access to high-quality STEM learning. This growth was especially strong in key markets like California and New York, where we deepened our impact through expanded partnerships and local engagement. Notably, in Oakland, California, we more than doubled our presence within the Oakland Unified School District Expanded Learning program, increasing from 10 to 21 schools.
New partnerships also launched with the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles (CA), Gilbert Public Schools VIK Club (AZ), Syracuse School District (NY), Brightlane Learning (IN), Girls Inc. of Greater Madison (WI), Girls Inc. of Indianapolis (IN), and Boys and Girls Clubs in Delaware, Alabama, and Austin, Texas. Through these collective efforts, NBA Math Hoops is now reaching more students than ever, particularly in historically under-resourced communities, helping young learners build the math skills, confidence, and problem-solving abilities they need for academic success, high school achievement, and future opportunities in the STEM workforce.
